Designation and Experience:
I am currently an undergraduate student at the University of British Columbia, studying psychology with the goal of attending law school in the future. As a psychology student, I have gained a deeper understanding of the human mind and behaviour, which has further inspired my interest in mental health and wellness.
I am thrilled to announce that I will be writing weekly blogs for this website about mental health and university life. Through my writing, I hope to share my knowledge and experiences with others, providing support and guidance to those who may be struggling. In addition to my studies and writing, I am honored to be working as a Psychology Assistant and Digital Marketing Assistant at Eckert Centre. I am grateful for the opportunity to apply my knowledge and skills in a real-world setting, and to share my experiences as a student with the clients and staff at Eckert Centre. I am committed to contributing to the valuable work they do in the community. Thank you for taking the time to read my bio. I look forward to connecting with you through my writing and work at Eckert Centre.
What inspires you?
What inspires me most is the incredible individuals I have had the opportunity to work with thus far. Their strength and resilience in the face of adversity is truly remarkable and has motivated me to pursue a career where I can make a positive impact on peoples lives. I am excited to continue my journey in the field of mental health and wellness and to learn from and be inspired by those around me.
What are your proudest accomplishments?
I am incredibly proud of my journey towards better mental health and wellness. Through my own experiences, I have learned the importance of seeking help and support when needed, and the power of self-care and self-compassion. I am passionate about breaking down the stigma surrounding mental illness and promoting the message that seeking help is a sign of strength, not weakness. Helping others on their own mental health journeys has been one of my proudest accomplishments, and I am committed to continuing to do so through my work and writing.
What are your hobbies and interests?
In my free time, I enjoy all things outdoors, including hiking, camping (in a trailer only…), and exploring new trails. I am also an avid volleyball player and enjoy playing on both indoor and beach courts. When
I'm not outside or on the court, I love to travel and explore new places. And of course, my studies are a big focus for me as well, as I work towards achieving my academic and career goals.
