Designation and Experience:
I have completed my undergraduate degree in psychology at the University of Calgary, with the long-term goal of becoming a registered psychologist. My path into psychology has been shaped by a deep fascination with the complexities of the human mind and behaviour. My passion lies in understanding how people think, feel, grow, and connect with the world around them.
Throughout my undergraduate degree, I developed a strong passion for psychological research and had the opportunity to gain experience as a research assistant, contributing to projects at the University of Calgary. These experiences have strengthened my appreciation for evidence-based practice and the important role research plays in better understanding and supporting individuals and communities. Looking ahead, I hope to continue building on this passion and pursue research of my own in the future.
At Eckert Centre, I bring this passion into my role by supporting both administrative work and psychological assistant responsibilities, helping ensure that clinicians and clients have what they need for sessions to run smoothly. Being part of Eckert Centre is a privilege, as it allows me to learn from experienced professionals while contributing to a supportive, organized, and healing environment. Eckert Centre’s commitment to helping individuals overcome challenges, better understand themselves, and move toward personal growth deeply aligns with my own values, and I am grateful to play a role in making the lives of others a little easier.
What inspires you?
What inspires me about psychology is the opportunity to see people come in as one version of themselves and leave as someone who now has the tools and resources to overcome the inevitable challenges that will come their way. Seeing positive growth in others is something that lights a fire in me to continue to study the field of psychology. The idea that I could have a positive effect on someone’s journey through life is what inspires me the most.
What are your proudest accomplishments?
One accomplishment I am especially grateful for is completing my undergraduate degree in psychology with distinction. This was meaningful to me because it reflected years of dedication, growth, and genuine interest in the field. I am also proud of being able to communicate in both English and French. Being bilingual has helped me connect with more people, better appreciate different perspectives, and build stronger relationships in both personal and professional settings.
What are your Hobbies and Interests?
Outside of work, I love being with my friends and family, travelling, and exploring new places, whether that means visiting a new city, spending time outdoors, or trying new restaurants and experiences. I also enjoy staying active and playing sports of all kinds, with volleyball being one of my favourites. When I am at home, I enjoy walking my dogs, reading, relaxing, and adding to my growing plant collection.
Why do you think people should choose Eckert Centre?
People choosing Eckert Centre will find determined, kind and intelligent psychologists who have genuine care and interest for each and every one of their clients. There is an understanding that it takes courage to be vulnerable and that every client is unique. Because of this, the therapeutic modality selected will be specific to each client's needs and preferences. Eckert Centre is a non-judgmental place where people can safely come in with the bravery to ask for help, be seen and heard, and leave at the end of the session, with a little less weight on their shoulders.
