Designation and Experience:
I am a Registered Psychologist with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a Masters of Counselling from Athabasca University. I have provided support to families for children with ADHD and anxiety, as well as counselling for individuals and couples. I have been trained in Gottman couples therapy and enjoy helping my clients restore and improve their relationships.
What inspires you?
I am inspired by the individuals and families I work with. I am excited each time I meet someone new and we connect in a way that creates a safe space to share their story and explore their deepest concerns. I admire the strength, vulnerability, and courage I see as my clients work towards change and growth.
What are your proudest accomplishments?
My proudest accomplishment is completing my master’s degree with three young kids at home. It gave me the confidence to believe in myself and realize my full potential. Of course, I could not have done it without the support of my family.
What are your hobbies and interests?
When I am not working, you can find me in an arena coaching or cheering for my kids and almost always doing something active. In recent years I have really enjoyed being active in the outdoors through running and biking. Outside is where I truly feel alive and well!
Why do you think people should choose Eckert Centre?
I think people should choose Eckert Centre because the staff are amazing! Since starting with Eckert Centre I have felt welcomed and cared for. I know that as much as the staff care for each other, they care for their clients even more! With a variety of programs and specialties and years of experience, I am sure you will be able to find the support you are looking for.
