Frequently Asked Questions for Assessments

If you need to change or reschedule your assessment appointments, please contact Stephanie Gardler, our Administrative Assistant, at info@eckert-psychology.com. Stephanie will assist you in making the necessary changes. Please note that assessment appointments are scheduled in a specific order to ensure timely completion. While we do our best to accommodate rescheduling requests, changes to the original schedule may delay the completion of your assessment feedback.

We require at least 48 hours’ notice (business days) for cancellations. This allows us to manage our schedule efficiently and provide optimal service to all clients.

Yes, certain sessions within your child’s assessment can be billed under the parent’s name to maximize insurance benefits. Please check with your insurance provider for any daily billing limitations. In our experience, the maximum billing amount per day is typically 90 minutes.

In many cases, yes.

Most extended health benefit plans provide coverage for psychological services delivered by a Registered Psychologist. Because assessment services are provided by psychologists, many clients are able to use their benefits to help offset a portion of the cost.

Coverage amounts vary significantly between insurance plans, so we encourage you to contact your provider directly to understand your annual psychology coverage and reimbursement process. Our team is also happy to discuss common insurance questions and help you understand how your benefits may apply to an assessment.

No, we do not direct bill insurance companies.

Assessment fees are not collected all at once. Instead, payment is processed on the day of each appointment or service provided throughout the assessment process. This allows families and individuals to spread the cost of their assessment over multiple appointments rather than making one large payment upfront.

After each appointment, we provide a detailed receipt that can be easily uploaded through your insurance provider's online portal for reimbursement. Many clients find this process straightforward and receive reimbursement directly from their insurance company based on their individual coverage.

Yes. Eckert Psychology & Education Centre partners with Beautifi to offer flexible monthly payment plans for psychological and educational assessment services. Applications are completed securely online, take less than 3 minutes, and most clients receive an instant approval decision.
