Frequently Asked Questions for Assessments

We do not require full payment for assessments upfront. Instead, billing is done per service provided during the assessment process. This process typically takes one to three months, allowing flexibility in managing costs.

If you need to change or reschedule your assessment appointments, please contact Stephanie Gardler, our Administrative Assistant, at info@eckert-psychology.com. Stephanie will assist you in making the necessary changes. Please note that assessment appointments are scheduled in a specific order to ensure timely completion. While we do our best to accommodate rescheduling requests, changes to the original schedule may delay the completion of your assessment feedback.

We require at least 48 hours’ notice (business days) for cancellations. This allows us to manage our schedule efficiently and provide optimal service to all clients.

Yes, certain sessions within your child’s assessment can be billed under the parent’s name to maximize insurance benefits. Please check with your insurance provider for any daily billing limitations. In our experience, the maximum billing amount per day is typically 90 minutes.

  • For child assessments, provide relevant documents, such as previous assessment reports, diagnostic letters, Speech-Language Pathology or Occupational Therapy reports, report cards, Individual Program Plans (IPPs), and teacher contact information. Ensure the school is aware of the assessment and any required consent forms for teacher participation are signed.
  • For adult assessments, include any previous assessment reports or medical documentation that may be relevant.

The feedback session is when the results of the assessment are discussed. Based on this session, the report may be updated with additional or new information. Please allow up to two weeks for the final report to be completed after the feedback session.

We provide two versions of the report:

  • School Version: Focuses on educational needs and excludes sensitive information, such as family history, that is not relevant to learning.
  • Client/Parent/Doctor Version: Includes all information obtained during the assessment, providing a comprehensive overview.
  • Senior psychologists (Michelle Kerslake, Faye Gosnell, and Harriet Johnston): $245/hour
  • Other psychologists: $235/hour
